Molly was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Molly began her professional stage career when she was thirteen and was a part of the Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. She played Little Red Ridinghood shortly after performing in Arden Theater s Into the Woods production for which she was awarded an Barrymore Award nomination. Following her Broadway debut, aged 15 she reprised the role and won a Drama League Award. Molly was also as a character in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof in 2004. After that, she went to Princeton University and was a member in the Triangle Club. She graduated with a bachelor's degree 2008. After that, she went to Princeton University where she was part of the Triangle Club and earned a Bachelor's degree in 2008. In the same time frame she made her acting debut as Wendy Greenhut in Disney's College Road Trip. After graduating Molly was in Off-Broadway productions of several plays including End Days at Ensemble Studio Theater as well as in a few productions on television, such as Royal Pains and an HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly played in the in the 2008 Barrington Stage Company production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and also in the year 2010 Westport Country Playhouse's production of The Diary of Anne Frank in which she played Anne. Molly's most well-known role was in Paranormal Activity 2 (2010), in which she portrays Ali the teenage daughter. Also, she was a part of Last Man Standing (an ABC comedy written by and starring Tim Allen) and Jack Burditt's The 25th Annual County Spelling Bee in 2008.
