Justin Bieber, a pop celebrity, found her rendition of Etta's "At Last" within a short time and posted it with his nearly 25 million fans on Twitter. The media attention that followed led to her signing a recording agreement with Island Records and a management agreement with Bieber's manager next year. Beer also starred in one small role in Louder Than Words, an independent film with David Duchovny. It premiered at the film festival in the latter part of 2013. In 2013, her debut single "Melodies," was released.
